日峰原始森林在日月峡主景区内日月峡公园的最高峰日峰三分之二高度以上的峰顶部分，特点是树种丰富，地形变化和树种的变化产生步移景换的影视效果，在登山的过程中游览，富有趣味性，健身养生效果显著，日峰由此拥有“健康之顶”的美誉。
The Sun Virgin(Peak Primeval) Forest is more than two-third in height of the Sun Peak, situated at the main scenic region of the Sun Moon Canyon National Forest Park.  Its characteristics include vast varieties of trees and changes in the terrain, creating a visual effect of changes in the surrounding when one is walking along.
Climbing the mountain is enjoyable, and it is also beneficial to one’s health.  Hence, the Sun Peak has its high reputation of the “Peak of Health”.
